THE ART OF FISH

Just before the Honolulu Marathons of 2012 and 2013, I have conducted gyotaku (fish printing) workshops for Honolulu Marathon Clinic runners to increase awareness of aquaculture, seafood, and food security in Hawai‘i. While runners and their families applied the art of gyotaku to T-shirts, they learned the importance of fish to our health and local culture and economy. It was a fun opportunity to combine art with food and aquaculture. Hooray for fish! Follow Tetsuzan Benny's board Gyotaku on Pinterest.

Social media will have an outsized impact on relationship-based businesses and education entities. Some of these food growing farms and knowledge providers like universities are piloting programs that enable their workers, faculty, advisors and extension agents to participate in social networks. AquacultureHub has gone a step further, empowering farmers, backyard aquaculturists, school teachers and students, community members, and college faculty and students to use our world spread platform (we are on Ning, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn) to find connections who can provide the needed information and connect with experts to solve real world problems. In addition, the AquacultureHub growing community can help with getting jobs and internships and referrals on prospective workers, students and advisors.

Thank you Doctor, I'll do that and posts a video of the worm found in my seacu tanks if you or anyone in here can help ID it. Again, thanks.

Good morning

This is Fred from Ghana.
We met in Israel 8th October '13 on a tilapia forum. We had a chat after your presentation .

We have established a training center here on our farm, is good , we want to affiliate and connect to ATOLL. Our trainees should be approved by your center and do exchange programmes as well .

You can also make visits to our projects and share ideas.

Together we can drive the industry forward.

Hope you consider and reply this request.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Thank.

Faithfully

Don't know how I missed your site for so long as I have been running aquafind since 1991. Started with an interest in supplying connections for tropical fish and the site morphed into a resource for the seafood industry. Aquaculture Hub seems to cover a vast range of subjects in the aquaculture industry and that is what I have been looking for.

I'm not a doctor or nutritionist so anything I'd mention I'd get from the internet.  We have lots of wild salmon - our two biggest returns in history were in 2013 and 2015 - so that's what we catch and sell.

I will do my best, I have made a PowerPoint presentation on this paper I wrote so I will try and find the photos and videos I had found before. One can pretty much look up a ctenophora on google images or YouTube and find what I used for my presentation.

I think this might be helpful. It is a crowdfunding platform. I like these platforms because of the opportunity to educate. http://permaculturenews.org/2012/07/20/a-new-fundraising-tool-for-permaculture/
