- Aloha Benny, nice to see you here. Fish farming is too popular in our country and people used to eat aquaculture fishes. Marine aquaculture in my country is developing rapidly .The main marine fish species cultured are European seabass (Dicentrarchus labrax) and gilthead seabream (Sparus aurata). Floating cages is the main culture system for these two species as the coastal of the Aegean and Mediterranean are suitable for floating cage culture. There are many trout breeding farms in fresh waters too. We can eat cheap fish here through aquaculture.
