Reclam the Bay, Ocean County College, Barrens Bounty
Robert Meyer has been involved in ecological landscaping and regenerative agriculture since 2011. He attended Morris County College for horticulture, and has worked for various landscape maintenance companies and organic farms. He has helped create a low-tech rooftop garden with self-watering planters, and has transformed his family's suburban backyard into a micro-farm, selling surplus produce at a local restaurant. He has recently become involved with Reclam the Bay, a local non-profit focused on the Barnegat Bay, whose mission is to "involve and educate the public about the estuary’s water quality and the importance of shellfish". He has experimented with a small aquaponics system, and hopes to become more involved in aquatic systems in the future.
