The Hawaii Aquaculture Association is the statewide producers’ organization. Its mission is to foster the development of commercial aquaculture production in Hawaii.
The Hawaiian people practiced aquaculture through development of fishponds (Hawaiian: loko iʻa), the most advanced husbandry of fishes among the original peoples of the Pacific.
Algae are a large and diverse group of simple, typically autotrophic organisms, ranging from unicellular to multicellular forms. The largest and most complex marine forms are called seaweeds (wiki)
