Thanks for your comment Ha,

With regards to growing plants, there is really not much that you CAN'T grown in an aquaponics system, but usually, root plants like potatoes are not best suited.  Things like salads, herbs, tomatoes, peppers, sweetcorn etc etc... all of these can be really happily grown.

I like this post. To my humble knowledge, I got information (from internet) that this system - aquaponic system goes along with agriculture, right? The plants grown in the ponds using aquaponic system can have the benefit from the excrements of aquatic animals. The plants have fertilizer, and absorb the amonia ions in return. So, do you also suggest the other part (growing plants) in this system?

Well, the new website has been up and running for a couple of weeks now and we have received two enquiries so far from westerners in Japan that are interested in setting up home aquaponics systems... Great news!  

I have done everything I could to help guide them, and hopefully they will make successful systems and keep promoting aquaponics.
