2ND REQUEST - CTSA FY10 Priorities

Aloha IAC and TC members,

This is a follow-up to my previous email, as I have not heard from most of you. We are preparing our FY2010 Request for Pre-proposals and would like to get your input on potential research priorities.

As Gary Jenson (USDA) mentioned in the IAC-TC meeting in August, future CTSA research should place a greater emphasis on outcomes, and focus on bridging the gap from “Science to Practice”. Therefore, we are striving to fund projects that make measurable impacts to the industry and
community, and need your help in identifying the areas that need the most
support.

Please consider the following questions:     

1) What do you need from CTSA to make your industry more profitable?

2) What challenges is your industry facing?

3) What are your desired outputs from your suggested area of support?

We would like to post our call for pre-proposals shortly, so I ask you to please respond no later than February 10, 2010. Your prompt attention is greatly appreciated.   If you have already submitted your input, thank you for your
